This is a race with a twist. Participants build and decorate boats with things like plywood, paint and duct tape.
The Schooner Wharf Minimal Regatta is Sunday, May 30, in Key West.
The festivities kick off about noon at at the Schooner Wharf Bar and Galley, 202 William St.. The event is free for spectators, and includes drink specials and live music, 305-292-3302.
