Several artists from Vermont’s Bread & Puppet Theatre are bringing their Lubberland Dance Project to Key West this weekend, through The Studios of Key West.
Residents and visitors are invited to become performers in the free show, which will be rehearsed at 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, with the free performance of the Lubberland National Dance Company (with Conch Republic friends) at 5 p.m. Saturday at Key West Old City Hall, 510 Greene St.
The program is entitled 27 Dirt-cheap Money Dances, and will feature two Bread & Puppet artists, dozens of Keys folks and the creative imprint of Peter Schumann and his company. The event will conclude with a free offering of fresh rye sourdough bread and garlic aioli for participants and audience.
