Picnic and parade celebrate MLK

The City of Key West is putting on a free community picnic Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Day.

Community organizations will show case their services, and everyone is encouraged to bring food and beverages to the event, which begins at noon at Nelson English Park,300 Catherine St.

The annual parade will start at 11 a.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center and end at the park.
