Various  boat parades add holiday sparkle in the Florida Keys — offering an opportunity for free festivities and fun.

Savor the sights and music  from shore, an excursion boat or your own boat.

  •  December  13, 7:30 p.m.  —— Key Largo Boat Parade  Suggested venues for watching include  various restaurants and lounges at mile markers 103 and 104. The parade is free to enter
  • December 13, evening  ——   Boot Key Harbor Boat Parade, Marathon.  Suggested sites for watching include Lazy Days South, Marathon Marina, Sombrero Dockside Lounge and Burdine’s Waterfront, around MM 47-50
  • December 14  6 p.m. —— Key Colony Beach Holiday Lighted Boat Parade, Marathon area  from the 7th Street canal along canals and cuts. Suggested sites for watching include  Sadowski Causeway at MM 53.5 and the dock area behind City Hall and the post office. An after-party with awards for captains and crews is at Key Colony Inn with a free buffet and cash bar, 305-743-7214
    December 13, 7 p.m.  —— Lower Keys Lighted Boat Parade, All boats are welcome to enter the parade  Santa and Mrs. Claus are to lead the parade, which begins at Kiki’s Sandbar on Little Torch Key. Recommended sites for watching include Pine Channel Causeway or Kiki’s Sandbar,  305-923-5370
  • December 13, 8 p.m.  ——-  Schooner Wharf Bar & Galley/Ultimat Vodka Lighted Boat Parade in Key West Tiny rowboats, tall ships and everything in between sail around Key West’s Historic Seaport and harbor areas. Before the parade, at 6 p.m., Gerald Adams Elementary School’s Steel Your Heart Band and a family band, The Doerfels, entertain spectators. Watch from bars, restaurants and resorts in and around the Historic Seaport, 305-292-3302
