Entry to all 392 U.S. national parks is free this weekend, Aug. 14-15. The deal includes Everglades National Park and Dry Tortugas National Park, off Key West.
The National Park Service also reminds us that admission to many of our national parks, including Biscayne National Park in Miami, is always free.
During the free weekend, you can also get in free at other national parks in Florida that charge admission. Some Florida national parks are always free.
Admission fees also will waived on Public Lands Day, which will be Sept. 25 this year, and Veterans Day, which is Nov. 11.
