Tax-free shopping August 3-5

The state of Florida is offering shoppers a tax break — at least on some items.

During the tax-free event , eligible accessories, apparel and school supplies may be purchased without the usual six percent sales tax.

The tax-free event is August 3 to August 5. It’s handy for back to school purchases, but shoppers don’t need to be students to receive the tax break.
